Jake has worked in the investment field since 2006. He originally worked for Edward Jones Investments as a Series 7 licensed investment broker and licensed health & life insurance agent. At the same time, he served as a commissioned officer with the MN Army National Guard and deployed to both Kosovo and Iraq.  He received his bachelors in political science and business administration from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and a military science degree from the University of Minnesota.
